Creating a Membership Tier

Set up a new membership tier with pricing, description, and benefits for your community.

Membership tiers are the different levels of access you offer your fans. You might have a free tier for casual followers, a mid-range tier for dedicated fans, and a premium tier for your biggest supporters.

How to Create a New Tier

Go to My Tribe in your dashboard sidebar.
Click Membership Tiers to open the tiers page.
Click the Create New button in the top right corner.
Fill in the tier details (explained below).
Click Create Membership Tier to save.

Tier Details

Tier Name

Give your tier a name that tells fans what they're getting. Keep it short and appealing.

Good examples: "Inner Circle," "Backstage Pass," "VIP Supporters," "Free Tier."

Tip

Your tier name must be between 5 and 100 characters long.

Description

Write a short description of what makes this tier special. Tell fans why they should join and what kind of experience they can expect. This is your sales pitch, so make it count.

Your description should be between 10 and 1,000 characters.

Pricing

You have two pricing options:

Custom Pricing lets you set exact monthly and yearly prices. You must set at least a monthly or a yearly price. Offering both gives fans the flexibility to choose. Yearly pricing often works well as a discounted option to encourage longer commitments.

Pay What You Want lets fans choose their own price above a minimum you set. This is great for creators who want to let supporters decide what they can afford. You set the minimum monthly amount, and optionally a minimum yearly amount.

Important

All prices must be greater than zero. If you want a free tier, set both the monthly and yearly prices to zero or leave them empty under Custom Pricing.

What Happens Next

After you create a tier, it immediately appears on your membership page. You can then:

Add benefits to describe what members get
Set up a welcome message that new members receive when they join
Create posts and restrict them to this tier
