Editing Membership Tiers

Update your tier name, description, pricing, and automated messages.

You can update any membership tier at any time. Changes you make will apply going forward and won't affect existing members' current billing period.

How to Edit a Tier

  1. Go to My Tribe in your dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click Membership Tiers.
  3. Find the tier you want to edit.
  4. Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the tier card.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Update the fields you want to change.
  7. Click Update to save your changes.

What You Can Edit

Name and Description

Update the tier name and description at any time. This is useful if you want to rebrand a tier or update what it includes.

Pricing

You can switch between Custom Pricing and Pay What You Want, or adjust the amounts. Update your monthly price, yearly price, or minimum amounts for pay-what-you-want tiers.

Note About Pricing Changes

Changing a tier's price affects new subscribers only. Existing members keep their current price until their subscription renews, at which point the new price takes effect.

Welcome and Cancellation Messages

For paid tiers, you can set up automated email messages that go out when members join or leave.

Setting Up a Welcome Message

  1. Click the three-dot menu on a tier card.
  2. Select Welcome Message.
  3. Enter a subject line and write your message.
  4. Click Save.

This email is sent automatically whenever someone subscribes to this tier. Use it to thank new members, share exclusive links, or explain what they can expect.

Setting Up a Cancellation Message

  1. Click the three-dot menu on a tier card.
  2. Select Cancellation Message.
  3. Enter a subject line and write your message.
  4. Click Save.

This email goes out when a member cancels their subscription. It's a good opportunity to let them know they're welcome back anytime.

Tip

Welcome and cancellation messages are only available for paid tiers. Free tiers don't show these options.

You can connect a Smart Link to any tier so that after someone subscribes, they're redirected to a specific page.

  1. Click the three-dot menu on a tier card.
  2. Select Connect redirect link.
  3. Choose the Smart Link you want to use.
  4. Save your selection.

This is helpful if you want to send new members to a thank-you page, a getting-started guide, or a special download.
