Connecting External Stores
Link to your products on external platforms so fans can find everything in one place.
You might already sell products on other platforms — maybe you have merch on another store, music on a streaming service, or products on a marketplace. TribeNest lets you add external store links to your product listings so fans can easily find and buy from wherever you sell.
Why Connect External Stores?
- One destination for everything — Your TribeNest page becomes the central hub for all your products, even if they are sold elsewhere.
- Give fans choices — Some fans may prefer buying from a platform they already use.
- Promote all your offerings — Feature products that are available on other platforms alongside your TribeNest store items.
How to Add an External Store Link
- Go to Store then Products in your dashboard.
- Click Create Product or open an existing product.
- Look for the External Link option.
- Enter the URL where the product can be purchased (e.g., a link to your merch store, marketplace listing, or streaming platform).
- Give the link a label so fans know where it leads (e.g., "Buy on Bandcamp" or "Available on Etsy").
- Click Save.
When fans view this product in your store, they will see a button that takes them to the external link.
Combine with store products
You can have both TribeNest store products and external links in the same store. This way, fans can buy some items directly from you and find others on platforms they already know.
Best Practices
Use Clear Labels
Make sure your link labels tell fans exactly where they are going. "Buy on Bandcamp" or "Shop on Etsy" is much better than "Click here" or "External link."
Keep Links Updated
If you remove a product from an external platform or the URL changes, update or remove the link in TribeNest. Broken links frustrate fans and can cost you sales.
Add Product Details
Even for external products, fill in the title, description, and images in TribeNest. This gives fans enough information to decide if they want to click through, and it makes your store look polished and complete.
External purchases
When fans buy through an external link, that transaction happens outside of TribeNest. You will not see those orders in your TribeNest dashboard. Only purchases made directly through your TribeNest store appear in your Orders section.
Removing an External Link
If you no longer want to link to an external store:
- Open the product from your Products page.
- Find the External Link section.
- Remove the URL.
- Click Save.
The product will remain in your store but without the external link. If it is only an external listing (no TribeNest purchase option), you may want to delete the product entirely.
