Scheduling Releases

Set future release dates so your music goes live exactly when you want it to.

Building anticipation is a powerful part of releasing music. With TribeNest, you can schedule your albums and singles to go live on a specific date and time, so everything is ready to go without you having to press a button at midnight.

Why Schedule a Release?

  • Build hype — Announce your release date ahead of time and let your fans count down to it.
  • Coordinate your promotion — Line up your social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing to coincide with your release.
  • Release on your terms — Choose the perfect date and time, whether it is a Friday (the industry standard) or any day that works for you.

How to Schedule a Release

  1. Go to Store then Music in your dashboard.
  2. Create a new release (album or single), or open an existing unpublished release.
  3. Instead of publishing immediately, look for the Schedule Release option.
  4. Choose your release date from the calendar.
  5. Set the release time — this is the exact moment your music will become available to fans.
  6. Select your timezone to make sure it goes live at the right time for you.
  7. Click Schedule to confirm.

Your release will automatically go live at the date and time you selected. No further action needed.

Timezone tip

Double-check your timezone setting. If you want your music to drop at midnight in your location, make sure the timezone matches where you are, not where your fans are.

What Happens Before the Release

While your music is scheduled but not yet live:

  • Your fans cannot see it — The release will not appear in your store until the scheduled time.
  • You can still make changes — Edit the title, description, cover art, tracklist, or pricing anytime before it goes live.
  • You can cancel the schedule — If plans change, you can remove the scheduled date and either publish immediately or reschedule.

Editing a Scheduled Release

  1. Go to Store then Music.
  2. Find your scheduled release. It will be marked with a scheduled status and the release date.
  3. Click on it to open the details.
  4. Make any changes you need.
  5. Click Save.

You can also change the scheduled date and time if you need to push the release forward or back.

Canceling a Scheduled Release

If you need to cancel a scheduled release:

  1. Open the scheduled release from your Music section.
  2. Click on Cancel Schedule or the scheduling options.
  3. Choose whether you want to Publish Now instead, or simply save the release as a draft to publish later.

Already promoted your release date?

If you have already told your fans about a release date, think carefully before changing it. Delays can disappoint your audience. If you must reschedule, let your fans know as soon as possible.

Tips for a Successful Release Day

  • Announce early — Give your fans at least a week's notice so they can mark their calendars.
  • Tease your music — Share short clips or behind-the-scenes content in the days leading up to your release.
  • Send an email — Use TribeNest's email tools to notify your subscribers on release day.
  • Post on social media — Share your TribeNest store link so fans can find your new music easily.
