Uploading Music

Learn how to upload your audio tracks to your TribeNest store.

Uploading your music to TribeNest is quick and straightforward. Once your tracks are uploaded, you can organize them into albums or singles and start selling to your fans.

Supported Audio Formats

TribeNest accepts the most common audio file formats:

  • MP3 — The most widely used format. Great for keeping file sizes manageable.
  • WAV — Uncompressed, high-quality audio. Larger file sizes but best sound quality.
  • FLAC — Lossless compression. High quality with smaller file sizes than WAV.

Best practice

Upload the highest quality version of your track (WAV or FLAC). Your fans will appreciate the quality, and TribeNest handles delivery smoothly regardless of file size.

File Size Limits

Each individual audio file can be up to 250 MB. This is more than enough for even the longest tracks in WAV format.

How to Upload a Track

  1. Go to your Dashboard and select Store from the sidebar.
  2. Click on Music.
  3. Click the Upload Track button.
  4. Select your audio file from your computer, or drag and drop it into the upload area.
  5. Wait for the upload to complete. You will see a progress bar while your file uploads.
  6. Once uploaded, you will be taken to the track details page to add your metadata.

Adding Track Metadata

After uploading, fill in the details for your track:

  • Track Title — The name of your song as fans will see it.
  • Artist Name — Your name or your band's name. This is pre-filled from your profile but can be changed.
  • Genre — Choose the genre that best fits your track.
  • Track Number — If this track is part of an album, assign its position in the tracklist.
  • Description — An optional description or story behind the track.
  • Price — Set how much you want to charge for this individual track. You can also make it free.

Before you upload

Make sure you own the rights to the music you are uploading, or have proper permission to sell it. You are responsible for any content you publish on TribeNest.

Upload Tips

  • Stable internet connection — Large audio files need a reliable connection. If your upload fails, simply try again.
  • Name your files clearly — While you can change the track title in TribeNest, keeping your original files well-named helps you stay organized.
  • Upload one track at a time — For the smoothest experience, upload tracks individually. You can add them to albums after they are all uploaded.
