Albums and Singles

Group your tracks into albums or release them as singles in your TribeNest store.

Once your tracks are uploaded, you can package them as albums or singles. This is how your music appears in your store for fans to browse and purchase.

Albums vs. Singles

Singles are standalone releases — usually one track (sometimes two with a B-side). They are great for building momentum between larger releases.

Albums are collections of tracks grouped together. Fans can purchase the full album at a bundled price, or buy individual tracks if you allow it.

Cover Art Requirements

Every release needs cover art. Here is what to keep in mind:

  • Minimum size: 1400 x 1400 pixels
  • Recommended size: 3000 x 3000 pixels
  • Format: JPG or PNG
  • Shape: Square (1:1 aspect ratio)

Cover art tip

Your cover art is the first thing fans notice. Use a high-quality, eye-catching image. If you do not have a designer, there are many free tools online that can help you create professional-looking artwork.

Setting Your Price

You have full control over pricing:

  • Album price — The price for the complete album. Consider offering a small discount compared to buying all tracks individually.
  • Individual track price — If enabled, fans can buy single tracks from your album instead of the whole thing.
  • Free — You can set any release to free if you want to give your music away. This is a great strategy for building your audience.

Pricing strategy

Many artists price singles between $0.99 and $1.99, and albums between $7.99 and $12.99. But you know your audience best — price your music at whatever feels right to you.

Editing a Release

You can update any release after creating it. Go to Store, then Music, click on the release you want to edit, and make your changes. You can update the title, cover art, description, pricing, and track order at any time.
