File Storage

Understand how file storage works for your uploads on TribeNest.

Every time you upload an image, music file, video, or document to TribeNest, it gets stored securely so your fans can access it. Your file storage handles all the media that powers your platform.

What Gets Stored

Your file storage holds everything you upload across your TribeNest account:

  • Images -- Cover art, product photos, blog images, website images, profile pictures, and more
  • Audio -- Music tracks, sample packs, and other audio files you sell or share
  • Video -- Video content for courses, products, or streaming backgrounds
  • Documents -- Digital downloads like PDFs, e-books, sheet music, and other files

How Storage Works

When you upload a file on TribeNest -- whether it is a product image, a music track, or a blog cover photo -- the file is automatically uploaded to your cloud storage. You do not need to think about where files go or how they are served. TribeNest handles everything behind the scenes.

Files are stored using industry-standard cloud storage that is fast, reliable, and secure. Your fans will be able to view images instantly and download purchased files without delays.

Where You Upload Files

You will encounter file uploads in many places across your dashboard:

  • Blog -- Cover images for your posts
  • Store -- Product images, music files, and digital download files
  • Website -- Images and media for your website pages
  • Membership -- Images for your membership tiers and posts
  • Live Streaming -- Background images, overlays, and logos for your streams
  • Courses -- Video and image content for your course lessons
  • Settings -- App icons and screenshots for your installable app

Storage Configuration

TribeNest uses cloud storage (S3-compatible) to keep your files safe and accessible. The storage settings include:

  • Bucket Name -- The name of your storage container
  • Access Key -- Your authentication credential for the storage service
  • Secret Key -- Your private key for secure access
  • Endpoint -- The web address of the storage service
  • Region -- The geographic location of your storage
  • Bucket Address -- The public web address where your files are accessible

In most cases, your storage is pre-configured and ready to use. You only need to adjust these settings if you have a custom storage setup or your account requires it.

File Types and Sizes

TribeNest supports a wide variety of file types for uploads. When uploading, keep in mind:

  • Images -- JPG, PNG, and other standard image formats work best. Use high-quality images for the best presentation.
  • Audio -- Standard audio formats are supported for music and sound files.
  • Video -- Common video formats are accepted for courses and streaming.
  • Documents -- PDF and other document formats for digital products.

File size matters

Larger files take longer to upload and download. Optimize your images and compress files where possible to give your fans the best experience.

Keeping Your Storage Organized

While TribeNest automatically organizes your files by type and where they are used (posts, website, streaming, etc.), it helps to use clear, descriptive file names when uploading. This makes it easier to identify files later if you need to replace or update them.
