Business Address
Add your business address for invoicing and payment compliance on TribeNest.
Your business address is required for payment processing and invoicing. Payment processors like Stripe and PayStack need to know where you are located to comply with financial regulations and determine which services are available to you.
Only the account owner can access and update the business address. This setting is not available to team members with the Admin role.
Why You Need a Business Address
Your address is used for:
- Payment processor eligibility -- Your country determines whether Stripe, PayStack, or both are available to you.
- Invoicing -- Your address may appear on invoices and receipts sent to fans.
- Compliance -- Financial regulations require businesses to have a verifiable address on file.
You must set up your address before you can connect a payment processor. Without it, the Payment tab will prompt you to add your address first.
Adding Your Address
- Open your dashboard and go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Click the Address tab.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Address Type -- Choose "Individual" if this is a personal address, or "Company" if it is a registered business address.
- Street Address -- Your full street address.
- City -- The city where you are located.
- State/Province -- Your state, province, or region.
- Postal Code -- Your zip code or postal code. This is required for US addresses.
- Country -- Select your country from the dropdown list.
- Click Save Address Configuration.
US addresses
If your country is set to the United States, you must enter a valid 5-digit zip code. This field is optional for other countries.
Updating Your Address
If you move or need to change your address, simply go back to the Address tab, update the fields, and click Save Address Configuration again.
Keep in mind that changing your country may affect which payment processors are available to you. If you switch to a country that does not support your current payment processor, you may need to set up a new one.
Address Types
You can choose between two address types:
- Individual -- Use this if you are operating as a solo creator without a registered business entity. Your personal address will be used.
- Company -- Use this if you have a registered business (LLC, corporation, sole proprietorship, etc.). Enter your official business address.
The address type you choose may affect how your information is displayed on invoices and how your payment processor handles your account.
Tips
- Use your real address -- Payment processors verify addresses. Using a fake or inaccurate address can cause issues with your account.
- Keep it updated -- If you move, update your address promptly to avoid any disruptions to your payment processing.
- Set up your address first -- Before trying to connect Stripe or PayStack, make sure your address is saved. The payment setup will not work without it.
