Business Address

Set the legal address that backs your invoices, your payout onboarding, and your shipping label purchases.

The Address tab is where you set the address TribeNest uses for everything legal and logistical — your invoices, the country you can take payments in, and the return address on shipping labels you buy.

Only the workspace owner sees this tab. If you're a team member without owner access, the Address tab is hidden for you. For more on roles, see team.

Why your address matters

Your address isn't just a formality — it unlocks several other features:

  • Payouts — your country determines which payout providers are available to you on the payment setup tab.
  • Invoices — the address shows up on receipts and tax documents fans receive after purchases.
  • Shipping labels — physical merch can't ship until your address is filled in, because labels need a return address. See the store for more.
  • Tax compliance — gives you the paper trail you need when it's time to file.

Until you fill this out, you'll see prompts in other parts of the dashboard pointing you back here.

How to set your address

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Address tab.
  3. Pick an Address typeIndividual or Company.
  4. Fill in the Street, City, State, Zip / Postal code, and Country.
  5. Add a Phone number if you want one on file.
  6. Click Save.

You'll see a confirmation toast when the address is saved.

Address type

  • Individual — pick this if you operate as yourself, with no registered company. Most solo artists start here.
  • Company — pick this if you have a registered business entity (LLC, Ltd, GmbH, etc.) that owns your music or merch.

You can switch between the two later if your situation changes.

Country

Pick the country your address is in from the dropdown. This single field has more impact than you might think — it controls which payout providers you can connect, which currencies fans can be charged in, and which fields TribeNest validates on the rest of the form.

Set your country before connecting payouts

If you change your country after connecting a payout account, the connected account won't follow you — you'll need to reconnect on the payment setup tab.

Zip code (US only)

If your country is the United States, the form switches the Postal code label to Zip code and applies stricter validation:

  • Must be at least 5 digits
  • Must match the standard format (12345 or 12345-6789)

For every other country, the postal code field is optional and accepts any format your country uses.

Phone number

Optional. Some payout providers and shipping carriers require a contact number on file — if yours does, you'll be prompted again later. Adding it here means one less thing to fill in down the line.

Editing your address

Open the Address tab again, change any field, and click Save. The new address takes effect immediately and applies to:

  • All future invoices and receipts
  • The return address on any shipping label you buy from now on
  • The address shown to your connected payout account on its next sync

Existing invoices and labels keep the address that was current when they were issued — TribeNest doesn't rewrite history.

What happens if I leave it blank

Until you fill in at least the Street, City, State, and Country:

  • The Payment tab will show a banner pointing you back here before you can connect a payout account.
  • Any attempt to publish a physical product will warn you that you can't buy shipping labels yet. See the store.
  • Your invoices and receipts will go out without a "from" address, which is bad for trust and for taxes.

In short — fill it in early, even if it's just your home address as a solo artist.

Where to go next

  • Connect a payout account now that your country is set → payment setup
  • Set up your storefront and start selling merch → the store
  • See where the money lands and who owes you what → income
