Daily briefings
Tell Mira when to brief you, where to put it, and how chatty to be about what she finds.
A daily briefing is Mira's morning sweep of your business. Once a day at the time you choose, she pulls the most important things she found and writes them up: short enough to read in a minute, specific enough to act on.
Briefings are part of her unattended work
The settings below are always available, but a briefing only actually runs once unattended work is turned on for your tribe. If Mira has never briefed you, that is usually why. See Working on her own.
Opening briefing preferences
- Open Mira from the sidebar.
- Click the menu icon at the top right of the chat.
- Choose Settings.
You land on Briefing preferences. Anything you change takes effect on the next cycle, not the one already in flight.
Renaming Mira
At the top of the page is the Agent name field. This is what your copilot calls itself everywhere: in the sidebar, in chat, in the morning email. Type a new name and click Save preferences at the bottom of the page.
Names can be up to 40 characters and accept letters, numbers, spaces, dots, underscores, apostrophes and hyphens.
Turning the daily briefing on or off
The toggle under Daily briefing controls the morning sweep. Turning it off also pauses the watch for unusual changes between briefings, so it is the single biggest lever on what Mira does unprompted.
When it is on, the rest of the controls appear underneath.
Picking a time and timezone
- Briefing time. A 24-hour time picker, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
- Timezone. The timezone that time is read in. Pick the one that matches when you will actually read it.
Set 08:00 in America/New_York and the briefing lands every morning at 8 AM Eastern, with daylight saving handled for you.
Choosing where it lands
Briefings can arrive in two places. Pick either or both.
- In-admin banner and inbox. A coloured banner appears at the top of Mira's pages with the most important finding, and the full set collects in your Insights inbox.
- Email digest. One email per briefing summarising what she found, sent to the email on your account. Drafts that only change something ride along with an Approve button. See Approving her work.
The banner stays on Mira's pages
It used to follow you around the whole dashboard. It no longer does. An interruption above the invoice you are editing is an obstacle, not a briefing, so the banner only appears while you are on Mira's own pages. Findings never go missing either way: they are all in the inbox.
Turn both channels off and the briefing still runs, with the results collecting in the insights inbox. Most people leave at least one on.
Anomaly sensitivity
Between briefings, Mira compares your numbers against what is normal for you. Sensitivity decides how unusual something has to be before she says anything.
- Low. Only big, obvious moves. Rarer alerts.
- Medium. The default. Catches most things worth knowing about.
- High. Smaller blips too. Chattier, and it costs more.
If she is alerting too often, drop it. If she feels too quiet, raise it.
Sensitivity changes what she says unprompted
It has no effect on chat. You can still ask her about anything at any time, however she is tuned.
Max insights per day
A hard cap on how many findings can reach your inbox in a day, between 1 and 10. Lower it for a tighter inbox, raise it to see more. When she has more than the cap allows, she keeps the most actionable and drops the rest.
Saving your changes
Click Save preferences at the bottom of the page. You will see a confirmation. Changes apply from the next scheduled run onward.
A setup that works for most people
- Daily briefing on.
- Briefing time 08:00 in your own timezone.
- In-admin banner and inbox on. Email digest on too if you check email more than the dashboard.
- Anomaly sensitivity Medium.
- Max insights per day 5.
Try that for a week, then adjust. If you ignore the email but read the banner, turn email off. If findings pile up unread, lower the cap or the sensitivity.
What happens to old briefings
Every finding Mira has ever surfaced stays in your Insights inbox. Filter to Pending, Acknowledged or Dismissed whenever you want to go back through them.
