Memberships

Members

Your tribe at a glance — every supporter, their tier, what they pay, when they joined, and their full membership history.

The Members page is your roster. Every fan who joined a tier — paid or free — shows up here with the details you need to keep track of who they are, what they've paid, and how to reach them.

How to view your members

  1. Go to Memberships then Members in your dashboard.

The page opens to a table of all your active members, with the most recent first. From here you can search, filter, and dig into individual members.

What's in the table

Each row shows you:

  • Member — full name and email address.
  • Tier — the tier they're currently on.
  • StatusActive, Cancelled, Expired, or Pending (a pending member has started signup but their payment hasn't fully gone through yet).
  • Subscription — what they pay, in their billing currency, and their current billing period (start date through next renewal). Free members show as "Free."
  • First joined — the date they originally became a member, even if they've changed tiers since.
  • Location — their country, when available.

Searching and filtering

Above the table you'll find:

  • Search — type a name or email to filter the list.
  • Filter — open the filter dialog to narrow by tier or status (all members, active, inactive, or pending).
  • Active filters — your selections appear as pills under the search bar, with a Clear all button to reset.

The list is paginated, so as your tribe grows you can page through without losing your place.

Member actions

Each row has a menu in the right column. The options change depending on the member's status.

Retry confirmation (pending members)

If a member shows as Pending, their payment didn't fully complete during signup — usually a card hold or a delay confirming with your payment provider. Open the row menu and click Retry confirmation to re-check the payment and finalise the membership. If everything's good, the member flips to Active.

Membership history

For any member who's not pending, click Membership history in the row menu to see a timeline of every tier they've ever been on. The dialog shows:

  • The tier they were on for each period
  • Their status at the time
  • What they paid (and the billing cadence)
  • The start and end dates of each segment

This is invaluable when a long-time supporter switches tiers or comes back after a break — you can see their full journey at a glance.

Exporting your members

Click Export members in the top-right of the page to download your member list. Use it for backup, for reporting, or to bring your contacts somewhere else.

Pair with operations

Members are also part of your wider audience. Head to operations to see how members fit into your full contact list — and to message them in bulk through emails.

Cancellations and refunds

A member can cancel themselves from inside their own member area at any time. When they do:

  • Their status flips to Cancelled.
  • They keep access until the end of their current billing period.
  • Your cancellation message for that tier (if you've set one) is sent to them automatically — see membership tiers for how to set that up.

For refunds, contact your fan directly to confirm what they want, then issue the refund from your connected payment account. The membership status in TribeNest reflects the cancellation, but refunds are handled on the payment side so you have full control over what to give back.

Status meanings at a glance

  • Active — paid up, has access right now.
  • Cancelled — they cancelled, but may still have access until the end of the current period.
  • Expired — billing period ended (often after a cancellation or a failed renewal).
  • Pending — signup started, payment not yet fully confirmed. Use Retry confirmation if they stay pending too long.

Where to go next

  • Set the tiers you want members to join.
  • Welcome new members with a tier-specific welcome message.
  • Move the conversation into chat channels once they've joined.
  • Send broadcast updates from emails.
