Income Summary

The bird's-eye view of your earnings — totals, trends, and which sources are driving your revenue.

The Income Summary is the page that loads when you click Income in your dashboard. It pulls every paid transaction across the platform — store orders, membership renewals, event tickets, course sales, coaching bookings, invoices, and payment links — and rolls them up into the metrics, charts, and breakdowns on this page.

The headline metrics

Three cards sit at the top of the page:

  • Total Income — every dollar earned across all sources for the selected date range. If you've taken payment in more than one currency, you'll see them shown side by side (for example "USD 1,200 + EUR 340") rather than blended.
  • This Month — what you've earned in the current calendar month. Useful for keeping a running tab without changing the date filter.
  • Total Transactions — the count of individual paid transactions in the date range, formatted with thousands separators so it stays readable as you scale.

Why multiple currencies aren't blended

TribeNest tracks each currency separately and never invents an exchange rate. If your fans pay in different currencies, every total, chart, and breakdown will show them side by side so the numbers stay accurate.

Filtering by date

The date range selector sits in the top-right of the page header. Pick from:

  • Last 24 Hours
  • Last 30 Days (the default)
  • Last 90 Days
  • Last 12 Months
  • All Time
  • Custom Range — opens a dialog where you set a Start Date and End Date, then click Apply.

When a custom range is active, the date span is shown next to the selector so you can confirm what window you're looking at.

How to set a custom date range

  1. Click the date range selector in the page header.
  2. Choose Custom Range.
  3. In the dialog, fill in Start Date and End Date.
  4. Click Apply.

The summary refreshes immediately with totals, charts, and breakdowns recalculated for that window. Switching back to a preset clears the custom dates.

The revenue chart

Below the metric cards, the Revenue Over Time chart stacks every income source as a layered area chart so you can see both the total and the mix on the same view.

  • The X-axis runs through the date range you've picked.
  • The Y-axis is the revenue amount in that currency.
  • Each colored layer is a source — products, memberships, scheduling, events, courses, invoices, and payment links — stacked on top of one another.
  • Hovering any point shows the date, the source, and the exact amount that day.

If you've earned in multiple currencies, you get one chart per currency so the numbers stay comparable. If a date range has no revenue at all, the chart shows "No revenue data available for this period" instead of a blank canvas.

Income by source

Below the chart, the Income by Source card breaks every dollar down into the area that earned it.

It's split into two parts:

  • A horizontal bar chart showing each source side by side so the largest contributors jump out visually.
  • A list under the chart with each source's icon, the dollar amount earned, and that source's percentage of the total.

The sources tracked here are:

  • Products — store sales (merch, music, digital, services).
  • Memberships — paid tier signups and renewals.
  • Scheduling — paid coaching sessions and bookings.
  • Events — ticket sales.
  • Courses — course purchases.
  • Invoices — invoices that have been paid.
  • Payment Links — collections from any payment link you've shared.

Like the rest of the page, each currency gets its own breakdown card so totals stay clean.

The abandoned checkouts strip

When fans reach checkout but don't complete payment, an Abandoned checkouts (last 30 days) card appears between the metric cards and the chart. It only shows up once there's data — a brand-new account never sees it.

The strip shows four tiles:

  • Abandoned — count and total value of carts that didn't make it through.
  • Recovered — count and total value of carts that originally abandoned but eventually paid.
  • Completed — count and total value of checkouts that finished cleanly.
  • Recovery rate — what percentage of abandoned carts ended up converting.

A View all link in the top-right of the strip takes you to the full abandoned checkouts list under operations where you can dig in and follow up.

Recovery rate is always last 30 days

The abandoned checkouts strip uses a fixed 30-day window regardless of the date range you've picked at the top of the page. The other metrics on this page respect the date filter — this one tile doesn't.

Reading the page in context

A few things to keep in mind as you scan the summary:

  • The page is read-only. It reflects what's already been earned — there's no editing transactions from here.
  • Status is rolled up at the transaction level, not the order level. Refunds, partial refunds, and pending payments show up in the Transactions view rather than the summary totals.
  • The This Month card always uses the current calendar month, no matter what date range is active for the rest of the page.
