Audio credits

Audio credits pay for anything TribeNest does with sound: recording your meetings, turning those recordings into text in your knowledge base, and dictating notes instead of typing them.

They behave differently from every other balance in TribeNest, which is worth understanding before you go looking for yours.

Where to find it

1. Open Billing in your dashboard.
2. Click the Addons tab.
3. Scroll to Audio credits.

Unlike the email and message cards, this one is always on the page, whether you have a balance or not.

What they pay for

The card names three things, and they are all forms of the same underlying work: turning sound into something you can keep and search.

• Recording meetings. Capturing a call or a session as audio you keep afterwards, rather than relying on notes taken while you were trying to talk.
• Transcribing recordings into your knowledge base. Turning that audio into text that lives with the rest of your written material, so a decision made out loud in a meeting is findable months later.
• Dictating notes instead of typing them. Speaking a note and having it written down for you.

The last one is the reason per-second metering matters. Dictation is usually a burst of a few seconds at a time, many times a day, rather than one long recording.

Why your balance says zero

No plan includes any audio credits. Not one. This is the only wallet that nobody is given, which means a zero balance here is not a warning sign and does not mean you have used something up. It is simply where every account starts.

The upside of that arrangement is that you only ever pay for audio if you actually use audio. Creators who never record anything are never charged for the capability.

How the balance is counted

The card shows your balance twice, in two different units:

• Minutes, as the headline figure, because that is how people think about audio.
• Seconds, on the line underneath, as the exact number.

Audio is metered by the second, not rounded up to the minute. A ten second dictation costs ten seconds, not sixty. Over a working week of short voice notes that difference adds up in your favour.

The minutes figure is always rounded down, so it never promises you more than the seconds figure actually holds.

Buying credits

Audio credit packs are not on sale yet. If you open the card today you will see a note saying exactly that, along with a reminder that nothing is wrong with your account. Purchasing for this wallet simply has not been opened.

When packs do go on sale, the card will show the same buy controls as the other wallets: a Packs field taking 1 to 100, the number of minutes and the price per pack, a running total, and a Buy credits button leading to a secure checkout.

Like every other credit balance in TribeNest, audio credits never expire.

Your audio credit history

Audio credit history appears below the card once anything has landed in your balance. Each row shows:

• Date it landed.
• Packs, or None where no purchase was involved.
• Minutes added.
• Amount paid.
• Status.

Credits that TribeNest support added for you appear here too, marked as a Comp in the amount column instead of a price. That way the history is a complete record of your balance rather than only the parts you paid for.

If nothing has ever landed in your balance, the card is hidden.
